Mixology Monday: A Beautiful Oops!

We're still getting used to this blogging thing...

Last week our scheduled posts got completely knocked off balance when from our perspective, we saw the world crumble as the election results rolled in. Like Kevin Hart says, 'Nooooooo! We. Were. Not. Ready!!!!'

It literally knocked us off our game. So when we finally ventured out to pick up ingredients to remake last week's #mixologymonday featured cocktail in our haste; we picked up a grapefruit instead of a blood orange! #doh

Instead of completely letting our nightcap go to a complete fail; we scoured the interwebs to come up with an alternative cocktail. We came across Cake n Knife's recipe for a Sparkling Grapefruit Old Fashioned. After a few rounds, we made a few tweaks to suit our palette. We decreased the amount of simple syrup and added prosecco instead of sparkling water.

Check it out and tell us what you think!
